Today we got a lot done. A huge pile of sand from along the pond was moved down to the 3rd green and 4th tees, and just as important was a meeting about the road running along the 3rd hole. More to the point, the buffer wall and the relationship to the road.
We wanted to make sure the Buffer Wall was was not a roadside problem, and as explained to us by the road safety expert, is the need to have 180-meters visibility. We exceed that, so we are all clear. No problems, no changes, no worries.
One important point for the club to remember in future years. The roadside banks must remain free of trees and bush from the apex to the sole so the visibility remains. The fairway side of the buffer wall, from the apex downwards can be planted with bush. I wouldn't be planting trees atop the wall, it would look very odd.
